Challenging ourselves, we were joined by percussionists and drummers on every song. To begin with, we had meant to record an album of covers of “classic” instrumentals (tunes by the Allman Brothers, Bill Laswell, Frank Zappa, Mulatu Astatqé, and more), but then a few of our own songs, and a tune or two we picked up on the road crept in … just by chance this album marked the beginning of a new era: up until now (2014), we rarely played without percussion and never with drums. Now we do.
